Kyle C. Jones, P.E.

Mr. Jones is presently the Deputy Director of Port Development for the Port of New Orleans and has 24 years of experience in civil, structural, and transportation engineering.
Since joining the Port in 1990, Mr. Jones has been directly involved in the planning, design and construction of capital improvements valued at approximately $500 million. Prior to working at the Port, Mr. Jones was employed for 10 years with consulting engineering firms in the New Orleans area.
Mr. Jones has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of New Orleans and is a registered Professional Civil Engineer in the state of Louisiana. Mr. Jones is a graduate of the International Program for Port Planning and Management (IPPPM). He has received two commendations from the U.S. government for his work on port assessment teams in Haiti, Honduras and Nicaragua.
Mr. Jones is a member of the American Association of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), and the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) where he serves on the Marine/Waterfront Task Group for Plastic Composite Fender Systems.
Mr. Jones is a member of the Advisory Board for the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of New Orleans, and was named Outstanding Government Civil Engineer for 2001 by the New Orleans branch of ASCE.
