Dr. Peter Smith is the Manager of the Environmental Sciences and
Engineering Department at Waldemar S. Nelson & Co., Inc., a New Orleans-based engineering
firm. He has held that position for over 25 years.
Dr. Smith holds a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry from LSU and Masters and
Doctorate degrees from Tulane University. His graduate degrees were in
Environmental Sciences and were obtained from the Tulane School of Public Health
and Tropical Medicine. He has taught graduate level courses in both air
pollution control and environmental remediation while a clinical associate
professor at Tulane.
At NELSON, he has managed the coastal restoration IDIQ contracts that the firm
has with both the New Orleans District of the Corps of Engineers and the
Louisiana Department of Natural Resources. A number of individual projects have
been completed for both agencies under those contracts. |
